Wynn Resorts on Monday unveiled new images of the island of Wynn al-Marjan under construction in Ras al-Kaima in the Middle East United Arab Emirates.
The facility on Wynn Al Marjan Island will house a 1,542-room hotel, including 22 private villas in the marina adjacent to the resort. The hotel will also feature a 7,500 sq m (80,729 sq ft) event center, a 15,000 sq m retail store, 22 restaurants, bars, and a theater, according to Wynn Resorts.
Win Design and Development is overseeing the design and development of the project.
The announcement quoted Todd Renahan, President and Chief Creative Officer of Win Design and Development, as saying: "Historically, the area around Ras al-Khaima has been a lighthouse of Arabian Gulf navigation and important trade."
He said, "We designed the 300-meter-tall resort tower with Ras al-Kaima's historical role as a great navigation watcher in mind. Let's hope the tower will become a new landmark and new beacon for travelers in Ras al-Kaima around the world."
The project is described as a $3.9 billion venture involving local partners with Win Resort as a 40% stake investor. Win Resort is the parent company of Macau casino operator Win Macao Ltd.
